Do I have a sickness possibly dangerous?

I have had a deep deep cough for about 2 months or so now and sometimes find it hard to breath. I will have coughing fits and cant sto untill i sit or stang up. When i am sleeping my nose goes plugged and i wil start coughing and cant stop. My chest feels like it is like all stufff inside. I have yet to seen a doctor i would like to have a idea of what it is before i go in. Thanks for all your help....
