Burn on face, what to do ? O:?
Hello, I am an Emergency Medical Technician. Where are you from? Actually, depending on the severity of the burn, you should not use any kind of oils, gels or ointments. They can trap the heat and make the burn even worse. Also, you should not use ice. Burn gels and aloe vera are only supposed to be used on minor 1st degree burns (such as a sunburn). Using these things on burns that are even a little more severe can cause further damage to your skin tissue. Run it under cold water for 20 minutes. Then cover it with a dry, sterile dressing or burn pad (not sure what you have available where you are). Also, watch it closely for infection. If you get a fever, or it starts to hurt more or look weird, go to the doctor. Also, take some ibuprofen for the pain.
