Did artist such as Picasso or Jackson Pollock every paint real art?

Lets face it Pollock painted nothing but squiggly lines and splatters. Picasso painted as if he was a 10 year old. Why do we celebrate these guys? Rembrant or Michaelangelo put these guys to shame.
