If you draw on a shirt with sharpie would it get messed up if you wash the shirt?

I don't think it will get messed up.Because me and my friend made a shirt,and made it look like the 'Riot" album cover from Paramore with Sharpies.I washed it,and i didn't get messed up.The only thing that got messed up was 'PARAMORE' because I didn't write it in Sharpie.But anyway,I don't think it would get messed up.
