Is it measles and how long will it last?

well im 16 and my mom says my eyes have been blood shot and a slight cough has been developing the past couple of days. i also have a few red, very itchy dots on my chest, stomach, maybe head(?), and... somewhere else;) also feel slightly sick. i have researched it and im not as scared but maybe its just that im slightly a hypochondriac. im just worried cause ive heard things and the outbreak scare lately and i just dont like getting sick haha. so if you can help please do. i mainly want to know if its another sickness or if it is measles how long will it last and should i be worried?
