What do you think of the beginning of my story?

i read through half of it. nice. couldn't help with your writer block though. do you write with plots in mind or you just jot down whatever went through your head? think about the genre of your story. i think this one is a scary type? see examples of the book/movie with the same genre. just to get some general ideas on how to go on.
